Here are some simple ways to turn an extra room into a guest room. It’s more simple than you think!
Step One: Decide what kind of look the space should have after it’s been changed. To make your guest room feel like it’s part of your home, keep it in the same style as the rest of your house. If you want it to stand out and be more accommodating to different tastes, go with something completely different, like pastels, to make it more interesting.
Step Two: Empty out any clutter that is taking up space. People have a lot of things they want to get rid of, from old pictures and dirty toys to piles of clothes and books and magazines. Remove anything that isn’t needed so that you can put in new furniture and decor.
Step Three: The next step is very important. Choose what kind of furniture you want in the room. You should keep this room as simple as possible if you have other rooms in your home that are more welcoming to guests. You can add a couch and throw pillows if you need to.
Step Four: To avoid spending a lot of money on furniture, you could rent it from a nearby storage center. This can be very useful if you only need something for a short time (changed often anyway). It can also make the extra space more comfortable for guests when they show up on the spur of the moment.
Step Five: When the furniture is in place, add things that will look good in the room. A pair of big mirrors could make a big difference in the way the room looks. There are a lot of things you can change about how this room looks and what you want to achieve in it. Simple things like glass candle holders and a few small pieces of art can be all you need.
