I had two finished attic rooms in my 1910 that were in desperate need of TLC before replacing carpet. Being an old home with lengthy DIY history, I was looking at trim work, reframing/replacing/installing several doors & attic access panels, and tons of patching on textured walls before I'd be able to paint — much more than I wanted to take on in a short time frame. After being strung along and ghosted by another remodeling crew for weeks, Handyman Connection saved the day, offering to complete the entire set of work for a reasonable price! Finalizing the scope of work, estimates, and start date was a bit of an arduous process, taking a few weeks, several emails, and lots of waiting, but this could be explained by the holiday season and everybody being busy. Once we got a start date, the subcontractor Roberto & his helper were very efficient, prompt/communicative, and got my project done within a week. Upon final walk through, however, I discovered the job was rushed (poor prep, texture overspray, inadequate paint coverage, missed spots, rough lines, etc.) and that a cheap, builder/landlord grade paint was used on both the walls & trim. Fortunately, Connor is a good business owner, and was eager/willing to stand by his work & make things right. We settled on proper paint/trim products that were aligned with the "tier" specified on my estimate, and Roberto came out on the following Saturday/Sunday to repaint everything. The difference was night and day, so it was definitely a matter of rushing/materials, not anybody's skill! Overall, I would absolutely use Handyman Connection again. Connor & Roberto have been may favorite folks to work with on house projects to date, and the end result was about everything I hoped for. My only advice to others would be: 1. After getting your intial estimate, walk through it and handle questions/missing details/additions/changes over the phone or in person. It might just save you a month on your project, especially during busy season. 2. Get material quality (and specific products ideally) in writing, and verify personally before work starts. 3. Like with any contractors, don't be afraid to hover a *little*. Check in at least once or twice a day, and do a detailed walk through at the end of each day to look for misses/errors. Advice to management to avoid the snags I ran into: Your crews are great people that can do excellent work. I feel like there just needs to be some baseline expectation that mid-grade, decent materials be used unless explicity told otherwise to hit a tight budget. I'd also build an extra day (or 2 for longer projects) into timelines to emphasize quality & allow breathing room for fixes without requiring weekends/off hours. Even without changing materials, my project would have taken an extra 1-2 days for additional paint coats.

We needed a hardwood floor repair. Handyman Connection sent Pascha, who communicated quickly with us, set a time the next day, arrived on time, and did a superb job for us. The floor looks great. There was no mess afterwards. Pascha kept us informed about what he was doing and costs were disclosed up-front and very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Pascha and Handyman Connection again.
