Everything went to plan....it was suggested that I pick up the lumber for the project---which basically was a 8 foot treated 6" x 6" which i did and this enabled me to select the piece ----I notified Handyman Connection to let them know I had the piece and they arranged for one of their guy's to come tear out the old material and do the replacement---he called in advance to let me know he was enroute--I pulled vehicles out of the drive way and left the garage door open so he could work on a flat surface-protected from threatened rain--he did a terrific overall job from tearing out the old rotted material---salvaging what he could-and using a couple small pieces of 2 x 4 that I had in the garage...he went to work right away---when he was finished he asked me to have a look at what he had done (Out of curiosity I checked on what he was doing a couple times---didn't bother him with advice - he kept me apprised of his plan...It came out great---he will let it "Cure" for a few weeks before he returns to paint (I have the paint) you have to let treated wood cure awhile so the paint adheres properly....I can only say I am extremely pleased---and would highly recommend these guys !
