Don’t Be Left In The Dark This Winter!

With the winter season comes bright mornings and darker nights. As you adjust to the chillier weather, don’t forget to double check to make sure your home’s electrical work is up to date and properly functioning!

Here’s a checklist of things to do before it gets any colder!

  • Familiarize yourself with the location of your home’s main electrical panel.
  • Confirm the circuits of the electrical panel are clearly identified.
  • Ensure covers for your electrical panels, boxes, and plugs are installed at all times.
  • Double check for water leaks that may enter electrical equipment where you might have to plug in/operate electrical equipment.
  • Check for any cracks, frays, or broken extension cords, plugs, or switches.
  • Avoid overloading circuits– caution with the multi-outlet plugs.
  • Teach your kids about electrical safety.

If you are unsure of how to correctly handle any electrical equipment, make sure to contact a professional who can do so safely! This winter, don’t be left in the dark!
