I had Chuck come to our place this morning to help with a project in our bathroom . He was so efficient and professional and did a great job. Felt great knowing he was an expert because I’ve used other companies where they aren’t skilled to do the job . Would definitely recommend Chuck to anyone looking for a job done !!!

Our brick home had clearly had foundation settling problems well before we had moved in. A previous attempt by an unknown repairperson at filling in the gaps between the bricks was amateurish at best. That repairperson had clearly used rubbery caulk sealant instead of mortar, and it didn't last. The caulk was also smeared in an unprofessional manner and looked terrible. Many gaps had also opened up over time, increasing the risk of water and insect infiltration. I chose Handyman Connection of Ottawa (HCO) to rectify and redo the repointing. I also had them conduct concrete repairs and re-parging of the 3 pillars in front of the garage. The tradesman (Mardoche) was very timely in visiting me and providing a cost estimate via the HCO office, which I accepted. Mardoche was very pleasant to work with. He is clearly very experienced and professional. He explained all the steps involved and the tools that he would be using. He was careful in thoroughly PREPARING the gaps between the bricks by grinding out and and removing the old mortar and caulk. He also hammered off the loose concrete from the base of the 3 pillars in front of the garage, and patched it with new concrete BEFORE re-parging the area. The repointing and parging were professionally done and Mardoche clearly cares about the quality of his work and that it should be durable. I would recommend Mardoche without hesitation and would use his expertise in the future. The HCO front office staff through whom I obtained the quotation, booked the site visits, and received and paid the invoices, were organized and professional to work with as well. It gave me peace of mind that I was dealing with a larger business entity with the admin capacity to provide timely assistance to clients like myself. Some of the other home repair businesses I have dealt with are so small that they are always busy doing the hands-on work, with no one to answer phones or emails. Some were unresponsive and others untimely. I would definitely use Handyman Connection in the future. Kash Ram

Handyman Connection Ottawa responded quickly and set up an appointment within a few days. Chuck Huckabone came out and was very knowledgeable and professional. The quote was very fair and we had a great experience in getting our drop ceiling completed in our basement laundry room. I would highly recommend this company and Chuck for any projects. Chuck was timely, considerate of my home, cleaned up after and removed the garbage. Not to mention the work looks great.
