Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

How to Restore an Old Deck with Deck Repair Solutions in Sunnyvale, CA and the Surrounding Area

Deck repair

Deck repair is a great way to bring your old deck back to life, just in time for this summer season and upcoming fall. If you are looking to give your deck a new look or it is in need of structural repairs, see how you can complete those projects in no time.

Customize Your Deck

If you are looking for ways to update your current deck, many parts of it are customizable and can be changed such as new designs, colors, stains, and more. These items can also be changed if a deck repair is needed. The following are customizable parts of the deck:

  • Railing: Usually 3 feet high and a safety item. Comes in different styles and can be painted or stained.
  • Post Caps: Keeps moisture out of the posts and is a decorative piece too.
  • Posts: Spaced every few feet and at the corners of the deck for structural support.
  • Stairs: Built on a concrete pad to prevent warping or sinking.

Planning Your Deck

As you think about how to complete your deck repair, it’s important to assess and make a list of what needs to be fixed. Is the paint peeling so you only need it sanded, treated, and repainted? Is a post rotting, or has the railing come loose? These are all important projects to complete. Scheduling estimates with local craftspeople can help you plan and budget for these deck repair services.

Amenities

Your deck can be updated with new amenities such as an outdoor kitchen, outdoor bar, lounge area, and more. These updates, depending on what you would like to install, may require items such as installing plumbing and electrical.

Repair your deck and update it to make it look brand new and ready for the next backyard gathering. Pressure washing services are a great way to get your deck clean or ready for painting, staining, and more. See how you can make your deck even better with these tips.
