Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

5 Home Repairs to Make When Selling a Home in the Sunnyvale, CA Area

Reliable Advice for 5 Home Repairs to Make When Selling a Home in Mountain View, CA & Surrounding Areas

When selling a home, there are several home improvements and repairs that can make your home more attractive to the buyer, to increase your chances for selling, and to raise the value of your home. A home where all repairs have been made looks great to your potential buyers. Keep on reading to see what repairs you can make to improve your home for its time on the market.

The Kitchen

Update those appliances and make sure everything is in working order. A broken garbage disposal or a freezer that leaks with major ice buildup just sounds like more expenses to those who view your home. Make sure everything is running well and consider energy-efficient appliances.

The Bathroom

Leaks, constantly running toilets, and peeling or non-existent caulk in a bathroom is a good time for a repair. Clean up and apply fresh caulk to the bathtub, shower, and windows. Make sure there are no leaks or damages from leaks before selling. Make sure the bathroom has proper ventilation to prevent moisture build up as well.

Lighting

Buzzing, dimming, or flickering lights will need to be replaced and updated. Good lighting can make a room look great and even better are energy efficient lightbulbs.

Doors

New doors really tie a place together. Replace or repair any doors that drag, warp, or even update them all to match for a nice look.

Windows

Windows play a big role when it comes to conserving energy in your home. Drafts will need to be fixed and so will any windows that are cracked or in need of updates. New windows play a part in increasing the value of your home too.
