Dear Valued Customer,
Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.
For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.
Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.
Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.
We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.
Sincerely,
George Brisker

The perfect home office is meant for focused and enjoyable work. If you have an office and are looking to upgrade it, or you are looking where you can put one in your home, keep on reading to learn our handymen’s top tips on the perfect office.
In the age of working remotely, your home offices or temporary office spaces are in need of major improvements. Whether you have an office you have never really used before, or your kitchen table is your desk, it’s important to find a space in your home to make a quiet place for work. Depending on your situation, if you have a spare bedroom, that is ideal to convert into your office. A spare room, or unused space in the basement or garage can be transformed into an office space with some new walls, finished flooring, drywall, and paint.
While lighting might not seem essential to the needs of a home office, it can make or break a room if it is not well lit. Your home office should have windows and some natural lighting to make the space feel bigger and comfortable. Get creative with lighting from lamps, gallery lighting, recessed lighting, and more to create the look you need to focus on your work. If you are creating a room from scratch, a local handyman can help with the wiring, electrical, and installing light switches.
Having a big enough workspace is important, but you will need somewhere to neatly store your supplies and files too. Invest in some shelving, bookcases, or cabinets to keep your documents out of sight. A clean office is free of distractions so discuss your needs with local handymen to see if you can benefit from custom shelving and storage to get exactly what you need. Built in bookcases, with file drawers, and extra workspaces can make your room very productive.
From thinking about storage, lighting, and the location of your office, you have many possibilities for your perfect home office. After working at home for many months, you know what you need to streamline that experience. Start planning your updates right away.
