Dear Valued Customer,
Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.
For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.
Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.
Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.
We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.
Sincerely,
George Brisker

The holidays are a special time of year. The family’s coming over, there’s great food to be served, and the kids will have to get absolutely everything they asked for or you’ll never hear the end of it. While kids may never be satisfied, there are a few simple upgrades you can make to your kitchen that can make a world of difference. Here are a few things to consider when it comes to kitchen home repair during the holidays.
It’s amazing how fresh and new a kitchen can look with just a few upgrades to your hardware. When was the last time you switched out the knobs on your kitchen cabinets? If the answer is “I didn’t know I could do that” then it’s definitely time for some new ones. New knobs and drawer pulls are inexpensive and easy to install yourself. Of course, calling for an expert craftsman for assistance will make the process even easier.
If your kitchen has the same lighting fixtures as when you moved in, it’s time for a change. As opposed to extensive home repair work, installing new fixtures is a simple and cost-effective way to upgrade the look of your kitchen. Also, consider under-cabinet lighting. These can be installed by a professional, or you could take advantage of battery-powered lights you can place yourself.
That’s right. We went there. While not the small home repair job of some of our other suggestions, if you’ve been considering new kitchen countertops, the holiday season is the perfect time for installation. Upgrading your kitchen countertops to new marble, granite, or quartz is the holiday gift that keeps on giving. They look amazing, improve the functionality of your kitchen, and can even boost your home’s resale value.
With all the cooking, serving, and eating that’s about to take place, why not upgrade your appliances? If you haven’t updated your stove or refrigerator in a few years, you might as well replace them now. Is there a time of year when they’ll get more use than during the holidays? Unlikely. Besides, wouldn’t it be fun to show off your sparkling new appliances to friend and family alike?
There’s a lot of pressure that comes with the holidays, so — however you decide to upgrade your kitchen — it’s important that you take the time to relax and enjoy all that the holidays have to offer. To find out how the skilled craftsmen at Handyman Connection of Mountain View, CA, can help you with your holiday preparations, give us a call today!
