Dear Valued Customer,
Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.
For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.
Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.
Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.
We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.
Sincerely,
George Brisker

Home Remodeling / April 19, 2017
Your kitchen is one of the busiest parts of your home. Since you spend a good amount of time there either preparing meals or getting a snack, it makes sense to upgrade your kitchen to be more beautiful and functional. It can also add a lot of value to your home, and that’s something Handyman Connection of Mountain View can help you with. Today, we’ll discuss some kitchen backsplash tips:
1. Think About Your Kitchen’s Overall Design – The first thing you need to do is determine whether you want your kitchen backsplash to add some visual distinction to your kitchen or if you want it to match your kitchen’s overall design. There are hundreds of different backsplash patterns available, so this will help narrow down your options.
2. Consider Your Material Choices – Ceramic tile is the most common backsplash option available, but many homeowners also like glass, stone, and other natural materials. Your material choice is also influenced by your home’s overall design, so use this opportunity to achieve a specific effect. For instance, using natural materials in a home with mostly metal fixtures will surely grab attention.
3. Use Backsplash Tiles That Fit Your Needs – For example, mosaic and penny style tiles usually have pattern choices that involve the interplay of differently colored tiles. Mosaics tend to look eclectic while penny tiles appear more uniform. Subway tiles, on the other hand, allow you to be creative. You can arrange its simple, standard shape vertically, horizontally, staggered or whatever way you like.
4. Research – Look for kitchen pictures that match the ideal vision you want to achieve. You can check out home improvement magazines or websites and show these photographs to the remodelers you will work with. When you work with us, for instance, we will take the pictures you showed us and explain how we will achieve this in your home.
The right backsplash pattern can make your kitchen look chic, dynamic, and fun. It can also add elegance and sophistication if that’s more your style.
