Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

Make Your Water Safe with a Water Filtration System

Clean and safe drinking water is essential to good health, which is why many homeowners are installing water filtration systems in their kitchen. These systems play a vital role in ensuring potable water for a household. Handyman Connection of Mountain View explains more:

What is a Water Filtration System?

A water filtration system separates contaminants from the fluid and makes water safer to drink. This system can help protect you and your family from the risks of unfiltered water. It also helps save you the cost of buying water from outside. Many manufacturers also offer whole house water filter systems. This system prevents sediment from entering your wall plumbing and keeps chlorine-smelling water away from your bathroom.

What Are the Kinds of Water Filtration Systems?

Charcoal water filters come in three kinds. Carbon block is the most effective but water flows slowly through it. Activated silver-impregnated charcoal kills bacteria. Meanwhile, charcoal water filters with a micron rating of one or below filter out microbes. The downside of charcoal water filters is that they do not improve the taste of the filtered water.

Water distillers are convenient because they come in all shapes and sizes, some even come in the size of a coffee pot. This water filtration system boils the water, runs it through a charcoal filter, and transfers it to a pitcher. This process is very effective, but it also removes necessary minerals from the water. Meanwhile, ceramic water filters have a porous ceramic outer shell with built-in nano-silver. This makes the water sterile. Reverse osmosis filters pull water through a very small membrane. It can convert salty or dirty water into pure drinking water.

A water filtration system can make your water safer to drink and can help save you money on bottled water. As a bonus, filtered water usually tastes better as well.
