Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

Why You Need An Annual Home Inspection

When you contact a professional through Handyman Connection of Mountain View, you can talk to someone who will inspect your home on an annual basis. But why would you need to have your home inspected annually? If you are not selling your home, then surely you don’t need to have someone come in and take a look around.

The truth is that there are a lot of good reasons why you should bring in an inspection expert from Handyman Connection of Mountain View to look your home over. In many cases, it is the things you cannot see that become the biggest problems.

Bug Infestations

An expert knows where to look to discover such bug problems as termites and carpenter ants. A homeowner can have good luck noticing a bee hive in their home, but termites often go undetected until there has been considerable damage done. By bringing in an expert each year, you can make sure that there are no unwanted pests trying to take over your home.

Mold

Most homeowners think that if they do not see water damage in their walls or ceilings, then there are no water problems to worry about. Roof leaks can happen in places that you would never see until the problem was substantial. An expert can take tests and make sure that you do not have any unseen leaks that are creating potentially dangerous deposits of mold.

Leaky Pipes

We talked about potential roof leaks you cannot see, but you also need to consider leaking pipes that are not readily visible as well. Not only can leaky pipes create mold and water damage problems, but you are also paying for the water that is slowly leaking away. A professional can check out your pipes and make sure that you don’t have any leaks to worry about.

Pests

Did you know that squirrels in your attic can chew on your electrical wiring and create a fire hazard you would never see until it was too late? We would like to think that we can hear all of the pests that scurry through our home, but the truth is that those little critters are very sneaky. Each year, you need to have an expert check areas where pests normally go to make sure that there are not any rude surprises waiting for you.

Energy Audit

An energy audit is not expensive, but it can save you a lot of money every year on your energy bills. A professional energy audit will let you know where you house is wasting money, and then give you the steps you need to take to solve the problem. Some energy audit professionals even go so far as to show you how much you can save if you solve your problems, and they can get you in touch with contractors who can take care of the work for you.

Ready For The Weather

Is your house ready for the cold winds of winter? If you are not sure how to prepare your home for winter, then you could be wasting money each month on energy bills and even allowing your home to be damaged by the winter weather. It is important to have an expert come to your house each fall to make sure that your home is ready to withstand the gales of winter.

Homeowners who invest in professional inspection services each year tend to spend less money on home maintenance and repairs. When you are ready to have your home inspected by an expert, then use Handyman Connection of Mountain View to find the right professional in your area.
