What’s the Best Kitchen Faucet to Get for Your Remodel?

Kitchen faucets come in a range of different styles, and their differences are more than just aesthetic. They range from traditional to more contemporary styles, and each one performs distinctly from one another.

In this post, our kitchen remodeling at Handyman Connection® of Butler Warren discuss how to pick the right kitchen faucet for your upcoming kitchen remodel.

Pull-Out and Pull-Down Faucets

The two most common style of faucets are pull-out and pull-down. The pull-out faucet has just one handle that you’ll use to adjust the water flow and temperature. These are the perfect choice if you need your other hand free for other tasks. This style doesn’t take up any extra space on the sink and often comes with an integrated spray head.

The pull-down faucet is the opposite and droops downwards, ensuring one fluid movement when you turn the faucet on. We recommend this style over the pull-out one if you have a larger or deeper sink.

Two-Handle Faucets

The classic faucet design comes with two handles for hot and cold water, and it never goes out of style. Many consider it dated, but it’s great for homes that want to keep a timeless and traditional look for their kitchens. It also gives you more control over hot and cold water, which makes this style more efficient than the others.

Separate Spray Faucet

The separate spray faucet is essentially a pull-down faucet, but as its name suggests, has a separate lever or knob. It’s a good choice if the integrated faucet clashes with the established architectural design. It’s essentially a more functional downward faucet.

Touchless Faucets

This is the newest style of faucet and, as its name suggests, doesn’t require you to turn on a knob or pull a lever to operate. You simply hover your hand over the faucet to run the water. It may be a more expensive faucet style, but it’s a great investment if you want a seamless kitchen.
