You need Citristrip, acetone, paint brushes, an old toothbrush, some lint-free rags, a plastic scraper, plastic gloves, eye protection, and a respirator. Then put on your eye protection, plastic gloves, and respirator and place the object to be stripped on a rag.
• Step Two – Use a paintbrush and spread the Citristrip over the object in a thick coat. Make sure to follow the instructions on the Citristrip and let it work for about 30 minutes. You can test a section in 15 minutes. Once you see that the paint has bubbled, you are now ready to scrape it off your item.
• Step Three – Use a plastic scraper to gently remove the bubbled paint. Collect this paint in a plastic bag so you can dispose of it. Make sure to use a rag to wipe off any excess spray paint. Use a toothbrush to remove paint from crevices and other small areas. If it’s difficult to remove the paint from small areas, let the Citristrip sit there longer. Repeat this process until you can’t remove any more spray paint. Re-apply the Citristrip until you remove all of the paint.
