4 Bath Tile Designs to Try in 2018

With 2018 finally upon us, you’ll want to learn what’s trendy this year, especially if you’re planning to remodel your bath. New styles and colors of tiles are always emerging, and this year is no different.

In this post, Handyman Connection of Rockville lists four bath tile designs to try this coming year.

1. Marble Tiles

Marble tiles are making a comeback next year as a reliable and visually appealing choice for your bathroom tiles. What’s different this time around? The choice of sizes. Oversized marble tiles were all the rage a few years ago, but now small- to medium-sized marble tiles are in. As for colors, classic white marble remains a staple although we’re starting to see darker tones too.

2. A Focus on Flooring

One of 2017’s defining bathroom trends was an aesthetic focus on flooring. This trend continues well into 2018, although what the flooring looks like is a bit different this time around. Previously, there was a trend in high-impact floors, but now a more subdued appearance is preferable with equally warmer color tones.

3. Multi-Shaped Tiles

This is another popular bathroom tile trend that never seems to get dated. Installing tiles of different shapes and sizes on the floor and the walls creates a nice contrast and adds some much-needed detail to a small space.

4. Same Walls and Floors

This is the antithesis of the previous trend, but it’s a fairly popular one we’re confident will remain a design staple next year. Using tile on your walls and floors in the same size, shape and color establishes uniformity in your bathroom. It also has a nifty effect of making your bath space appear larger than it really is.

Handyman Connection of Rockville will help you pick the right tile design and trend to follow for your bathroom remodeling. Call us today at (301) 453-2090. Alternatively, you may also fill out our form and we’ll contact you to give you more information on our services.
