Allen Hopkins

Owner & General Manager

Our operators bring years of experience to Handyman Connection. Many have extensive backgrounds in construction, home repair, remodeling and other handyman services. Their goal is for Handyman Connection to provide its customers with excellent workmanship and superior customer service.

Ryan Hopkins

Co-Owner

With a foundation laid at the University of Arizona, where he graduated in 2005, he embarked on a journey managing and executing audit and cybersecurity engagements across the globe. After years of exploration, he returned to Arizona in June 2023 to invest in his cousin’s family business. His passions for traveling and golfing fill his free time. Yet, his true joy lies in planning remodeling projects with our valued customers and nurturing relationships with our trusted vendor partners. Growing up, he honed his skills in construction under his father's guidance, assisting with the renovation of residential properties he rented and managed. Now, he is dedicated to transforming spaces and creating meaningful connections within our community.

Mark Clay

Master Craftsman

Mark started at Handyman Connection in 2013. He grew up in Tuscon and spent 33 years in Denver. He is a huge Denver Broncos fan. Mark has a large family, 4 kids and 7 grandkids. One of his daughters is serving in the US Navy stationed in San Diego attached to the USS Ronald Regan. Before coming to work for Handyman Connection, Mark spent 16 years as a general contractor in Denver. He specializes in remodeling with attention to the finish details. He loves to play golf at every oppurtunity and enjoys spending time with his wife of 35 years and watching his grandkids play softball.

Ron Sparks

Master Craftsman

Bill started at Handyman Connection in 2013. He was Craftsman of the Year in 2016, and now mentors our craftsmen, works with customers and upholds our safety policies. Bill represents Handyman Connection’s core values and brand daily. He ensures our customers’ experience with us is top notch!

Ron Renk

Master Craftsman

Ron grew up on the South-Side of Chicago and spent almost 60 years there. Ron has 3 girls, all still living in Chicago. Ron received a bachelor degree in electronic technology in 1986 and worked for the Chicago Transit Authority from 1988-2020. Ron’s specialty is Electrical work. When Ron isn’t working he’s taking care of his dogs, his “honey” Petra and loves to golf in his spare time, he even has his Golf Teaching Professional from the United States Golf Association (USGA).

David DePaul

Master Craftsman

Originally from the Midwest, David relocated to Peoria 13 years ago. He started at Handyman Connection in 2015. His favorite part about living in Arizona “Weather, outdoors, and natural beauty of the state”. David has 3 boys and likes to bike, hike and play tennis to keep in shape. David has an eye for design and is a master carpenter. David’s customer tell us he’s easygoing, respectful, honest and most importantly, he pays attention to detail.

Greg Hancock

Project Manager

Greg started with Handyman Connection in September of 2017. Greg’s main skills are in carpentry, drywall, and finish work. He also does plumbing, electrical, tile and painting. He’s an excellent craftsman and has a great touch with his customers. Originally from New Mexico, Greg has lived in Phoenix since 2000 and when he’s not working, he’s spending time with his 3 kids.

Ken Kahrs

Master Craftsman

Ken has lived in Arizona for about 2 years, moving here to be close to his family. He started at Handyman Connection in 2016. He currently resides in Phoenix. He loves “pretty much everything” about living in Arizona. Ken has 2 children and 3 grandchildren, including twin granddaughters who just recently turned a year old! His hobbies include playing guitar, reading and woodworking, which he enjoys doing in his spare time. Ken attributes his becoming a craftsman to his father, who introduced him to the trades. His specialty trade work is carpentry, but he is also proficient in drywall and plumbing. He most likes seeing the results of his efforts when completing a project. He prides himself on his attention to detail, honestly and cleanliness. He is most proud of his wife and children.

Tony Erosky

Master Craftsman

Tony has lived in Arizona for 16 years now, moving from Colorado for work and to be near family. He has been in the construction business for 20 years and was introduced to the trades by his father. He started at Handyman Connection in 2017. His trade specialties are carpentry, plumbing and electrical. He currently resides in the Phoenix area. His favorite part of living in Arizona is the golfing! Tony has 3 daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and fishing. His favorite aspect of the job is that he gets to do different things each day. Tony is most proud of his quality craftsmanship at work, and his wife and kids in his personal life.

Randy Shirk

Master Craftsman

A seasoned construction craftsman with an impressive 33 years of experience, this Phoenix native has been honing his skills since 1979, mastering all facets of carpentry and various trades along the way. Enamored by the enduring allure of Phoenix's weather, he found his passion for craftsmanship while still in high school, laying the foundation for a lifelong career. Beyond his professional achievements, he takes immense pride in his family, with one child and three cherished grandchildren. His dedication to both his craft and his loved ones defines his legacy, as he continues to shape the city's skyline with his expertise while nurturing the bonds that matter most to him.

Jonathan Gregory

Master Craftsman

Jonathan started as a Craftsman with Handyman Connection back in 2013. Jonathan brings over 25 years of trade experience to job and he’s a great people-person. Growing up in Kentucky, Jonathan learned the value of a hard day’s work as he worked alongside his Dad remodeling schools. He’s also spent time in New Mexico and enjoys traveling frequently – his wife, Rosie works for Alaskan Airlines and when he’s not working, he’s most likely traveling or volunteering at his church. Jonathan’s easy-going nature and knowledge of the trades are what sets him apart from the rest.

Abel Hernandez

Master Craftsman

Abel is a highly skilled craftsman with expertise in multiple trades, including drywall, carpentry, masonry, stucco, and plumbing. He started at Handyman Connection in 2021. With an exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Abel has garnered a reputation for delivering top-notch craftsmanship in each project he undertakes. As a proud veteran, Abel brings not only his technical proficiency but also a strong work ethic, discipline, and a keen sense of teamwork to every job. His dedication to precision and his unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction make him a trusted professional in the construction industry.

Anthony James

Apprentice

Hailing from the picturesque wilderness of Idaho, this construction apprentice found his way to Phoenix in 2006, driven by a desire to support his family and escape the snowy burdens of his former home. Embracing the sun-soaked lifestyle of Arizona, he revels in the luxury of not having to shovel sunshine. Raised in the seclusion of Idaho's mountains, he developed a knack for getting things done and solving problems with inventive solutions, skills he now applies to his craft in the bustling cityscape. Despite his love for the wilderness, he finds solace in meticulously perfecting the finishing touches of his projects, a testament to his unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

A resident of Phoenix since 2000, he originally hails from El Paso, where his passion for hands-on work and continual growth was kindled. His love for learning and mastery of new skills is matched only by his devotion to his family; he's the proud father of three children, blessed with four adored grandchildren, and shares his life with a beloved canine companion. His marriage to a remarkable woman serves as a source of inspiration, as she brings out the best in him and propels him towards being a better person every day. A proud Phoenix resident since 2010, this construction apprentice thrives in the desert heat that fuels his passion for hands-on work. Having attended school in Phoenix, he discovered his love for painting, design, and skateboarding. Eager to channel his creativity into practical skills, he embarked on a journey into the trades, driven by a thirst for learning and a desire to contribute meaningfully to his community. With each project, he not only builds structures but also nurtures his own growth, constantly seeking new avenues to express his ingenuity and craftsmanship.
