Hired the Handyman Connection to stain our medium sized deck, last stained three years ago. Our deck was constructed five years ago when we built our house, and was poorly constructed using contractor grade lumber (this was done during the COVED debacle). Needless to say, the deck has some issues. Spoke with their dispatchers (Kat and Nicole) who are delightful to work with, and scheduled a visit to provide an estimate. The estimate initially considered minor repairs, power washing and staining. We agreed to the work and a few days later CJ, from Handyman Connection called to tell me he would be doing the work and asked to come by to take a look at the deck. CJ arrived, carefully looked things over and offered a couple options he could do to improve the appearance and structural integrity. We asked/received the new estimates and decided to have all the railing replaced along with some other boards that required replacement. CJ and his crew have been punctual, highly skilled and very personable, letting is know exactly what he was doing and incorporating some minor modifications we requested. CJ finished the construction work yesterday and will begin staining when the lumber dries from the recent rains and weather permits. The work CJ completed transformed an amateur looking structure sorely in need of repair, to a beautiful, professional looking deck that matches our home's beauty. He replaced the wooden spindles with black aluminum spindles which added an exceptional touch! CJ has many years of experience which is evident in his work. He and his crew kept the work area clean and finished on schedule--extremely hard workers! At this point we are satisfied beyond expectations and we're looking forward to staining and the finished product. CJ and crew are the best deck guys in town!! Very highly recommend!!

Shelby did an outstanding job refinishing the top of our buffet that had been damaged when an infuser with oil/chemicals spilled on it damaging the wood finish. It is an antique and I had had it totally refinished when I bought it. It was in mint condition until the scent oil spilled on it. Shelby did even a better job than the original Refinisher. I was so happy with the results. Cannot recommend him more. Will use him exclusively with my antiques which are hard to replace.

We were pleaded with the courtesy and respect we had from Kory ?sp (the owner) and he was prompt on his arrival and patience with working with our estimate in the rain, as well.

I haven’t had this company complete work yet, but I wanted to review their employee Tim who came out to assess a project for me. If I get the work done, I will hire this company solely based on the honesty and integrity of their employee, Tim. My father was a contractor/electrician and I am semi versed in how homes are built. I did not tell Tim this, but listened carefully to what he said and how he explained it and everything was upfront and honest. A lot of times, contractors will try to oversell or scare females thinking they won’t know any better. I never got this impression from Tim, that is such a breath of fresh air! I would definitely recommend having them come out for an estimate on a project if you’re looking for an honest assessment of the situation.
