$22,238 Basement Bathroom Remodel
Completed February 2018
Project scope and objectives: This long time customer required his basement bathroom be completely remodel for ease of use and mobility needs. We started by demo’ing the closet in the existing bedroom in the basement to enlarge the adjacent bathroom. We closed off the existing bathroom entry from the hallway and created a new doorway from the new master bedroom. We installed and tiled a barrier-free shower with a bench seat, two shower heads and multiple grab bars. We reconfigured the entire bathroom to accommodate the customer’s specific needs.
Project challenges and solutions: This customer changed his mind on the bathroom configuration several times in the initial stages of construction. We listened to the customer carefully and determined that safety and the ability to move around in the bathroom easily were his primary concerns. We discussed different options to accomplish what he envisioned and finally came up with a firm plan.
