Use baby-safe plugs to cover all unused outlets, and always check for appliances that are currently not in use and can be unplugged until you need them.

Reorganize Your Kitchen Storage

Ensure that dangerous items like cutlery, glass and heavy pots and pans are out of your baby’s or toddler’s reach. Don’t forget to keep chemical cleaners in a safe space too. If putting these things in a higher cabinet is not possible, you can opt for drawer and cabinet safety locks instead.

Check Your Water Heater

Adjust your water heater, and keep the temperature at a comfortable warm level to avoid burning your child’s skin. Experts typically recommend setting the temperature at 120 degrees or lower.
