Custom Whitewash Painting

The customer wanted to brighten up the room and asked Handyman Connection of Wheaton to just paint her beautiful cedar ceiling white, I asked her if she would allow me to use my custom staining ability to create a “whitewash” stained look and she agreed. We sanded down the ceiling to bare wood and then applied a white stain to brighten up the room but also show off the natural beauty in the wood. Using a stain instead of paint allowed all the natural wood grain and knots to still show through.
