Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

4 Simple Ways to Boost Your Curb Appeal with Lighting

Whether you’re selling your house soon or just want to spruce up the outside of your home, there are plenty of ways to boost your home’s curb appeal in a single weekend. Decorative shrubs, trees, decks, and water features are just a few elements you can add to your exterior. But one powerful way to dramatically enhance the atmosphere of your outdoor living space is to utilize lighting creatively.

Due to its conventionality, lighting is sometimes overlooked as a decorative feature. Nevertheless, it can easily transform the look and feel of your exterior and the space that surrounds it. Well-placed outdoor lighting can accentuate certain architectural features and add a warm glow to your decks and patios. Let Handyman Connection of Mountain View share four outdoor lighting ideas you can try:

  • Exterior Floodlights – People who are confident of their home’s appearance naturally want to show it off. This can easily be done by installing floodlights around the exterior. Their overflowing effects can highlight any architecture beautifully. When using floodlights, however, be sure to position them strategically to prevent them from shining in your bedroom windows when you’re trying to sleep.
  • Pathway or Bed Lighting – This does not only make your strolling experience after dark safer; it also adds beauty and drama to your exterior. A curved brick or cobblestone walkway can look magical when surrounded with ground-level lighting. You can also add this element along deck steps, garden beds, and the pathway leading to your front door.
  • Garden Pond Lighting – Water features, such as ponds and fountains, can shine on their own. When you add lighting to them, however, you can make these features truly pop at night. Consider colored lighting to establish a lovely, relaxing atmosphere when you’re chilling beside your garden pond during night time.
  • Tree Uplighting – By placing outdoor lighting at the base of a tree or shrub and angling it upwards, you can accent the beauty of your foliage much better. Uplighting is also a great idea for statues, sculptures, and other outdoor aesthetics.

Make the most of your exterior and landscape by investing in beautiful outdoor lighting. Our specialists at Handyman Connection of Mountain View can help with this project. To request a FREE estimate, give us a call or fill out our contact form today. We’ll be ready to assist you.
