Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

4 Important To-Dos to Check Off Before Moving Into Your New Home

Moving to a new home is an exciting time, but with a million things to do in such a small period of time, it can be easy to forget some of the small, yet crucial moving tasks. We’ve provided a short to-do list that will help make your move-in process easier and efficient. Check out what our crew at Handyman Connection of Mountain View recommends for you.

Replace Exterior Locks

One thing most homeowners do in case of emergencies is make spare keys for their home. Because we always seem to be losing our keys, there is always a chance that multiple copies of your new home’s key are in the possession of people you don’t know. To be safe, we highly suggest replacing all exterior locks. This will help keep your home safe without you having to worry.

Inspect Your Home

Before you move in, we suggest doing an inspection of the entire home to see if anything needs to be repaired. If you do find things that need fixing, we suggest getting that done before moving in, so you don’t have to worry about moving around furniture.

Clean Everything

With your new home being empty, we suggest using this opportunity to do some extensive deep cleaning. You can either do this yourself, or you can hire a local professional cleaning service. You should also make sure all the household appliances function properly.

Painting or Wallpaper

Similar to cleaning, with an empty house, use this opportunity to add a fresh coat of paint or wallpaper to give your home a fresh feel. It’s always best to do these things before there is any furniture in the way. You don’t have to worry about moving things around or getting paint on the furniture.
