Important Announcement to Our Valued Customers!

Announcement

Dear Valued Customer,

Handyman Connection of Mountain View is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers. We know that our customers have a choice, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.

For the past several years, Handyman Connection of Mountain View has been absorbing processing and transaction fees related to payments made by credit card. Unfortunately, our costs for credit card acceptance have continued to rise. Credit card rates have continued to skyrocket over the last few years, and more and more credit cards are run with the card not present (phone transactions, etc.). “Card not present” transactions also increase the rate we are charged. The use of credit cards to pay bills has also increased significantly.

Effective April 1, 2023, we will begin adding a 3% convenience fee for all credit card payments. The fee with be added to payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to offset the fees charged by the card companies. In accordance with credit card network rules, Handyman Connection of Mountain View cannot profit from this fee, and it does not exceed our expenses associated with accepting credit card payments.

Payments made by check, electronic payment (ACH/EFT), wire, or debit card will not be charged the convenience fee.

We thank you for your understanding as we implement this fee and offset some of the increased inflationary costs we are all incurring. We are happy to work with you on alternate payment options.

Sincerely,

George Brisker

How to Organize Your Closet Like a Pro

Let’s be honest: keeping your closet tidy is easier said than done. More often than not, people are too busy or in a hurry to keep the closet in perfect order. While this is excusable, it’s still important that you take a day every month or so to organize your closet.

In this post, Handyman Connection of Mountain View discusses how to organize your closet like a professional.

Set the Stage

Set a staging area where you can empty out your closet. We recommend a cleared-out portion of the room, but if for some reason it’s unavailable, you may use your desk, bed or even chairs. Once you’ve found a nice spot in your room, remove everything in your closet and set them neatly in your staging area.

Categorize and Organize

Now, it’s time to organize and categorize your items. Separate your indoor clothes from your outdoor ones and completely remove the items that shouldn’t be in the closet. The same applies to clothes that you’re planning to give away or get rid of. One of the reasons your closet gets unorganized is due to unnecessary items, after all. Set them aside for later disposal.

Eliminate the Unnecessary

Next, get rid of all the unwanted items in your closet. You don’t necessarily have to throw them away; for the old clothes that no longer fit you, you can simply give them away or donate them. As for the unnecessary items, simply return them to where they should be stored.

Clean the Closet

Finally, give your closet a good cleaning up before you return your clothes and other essentials. Dirt and dust bunnies aren’t just unsightly, they can make your closet an unpleasant place.

Do this once every month and we’re confident that your closet space will remain tidy and clean throughout the year. If you need help, fill out our form or give us a call at (650) 437-8999. Let’s talk about your any other home improvement projects you’re itching to tackle, too.
