Spring Home Maintenance Check-List

Here are a few reminders to add to your Spring cleaning and maintenance check list.

1. Be sure to give the house a good power wash including windows and walkways. This will make it easier to spot those needed repairs.
2. Spring always brings new life into the world, from new flowers to baby birds, but that also means new bugs and rodents. Spring is a good time to check all your window and door screens for any rips, tears or holes.
3. Spring also means more time spent outside enjoying the warmer weather, more time on decks, patios, and porches. Check for loose boards, wobbly railings, joists and stairs in need of repair.  Is it time for any of it to be re-stained, painted or upgraded?
4. This is also a good time to paint, which will repair those weathered spots from the winter and help protect your exterior for another year.
5. Spring cleaning often leads to winter storage and re-organization. Are you in need of any new or upgraded storage?  Perhaps new custom shelves and storage units in closets, basements, attics, sheds or garages?
6. Are there any remodeling projects that you want to check off your to-do list this year?
