Gene is your competent handyman and he did more than his fair share of labor. Very fair business practices. Scott Updegraff was helpful and offered information. I was sorry that he didn't show up here for work. I think that Gene was probably more experienced.

We rated 5 stars for the Handyman Connection of Golden. We needed to have a kitchen cabinet door replaced due to accidental damage, and the company of manufacture was out of business. We contacted HCoG and was pleased to find out that it was possible to have a replacement door made to match the original. Something like this is about managing expectations...we weren't expecting perfect and we knew it would take time (weeks) and a bit expensive (but not when compared to having to replace all the cabinet doors so that everything would match!). But when Jake arrived with the finished product, we could not have been more pleased. It was about as perfect a match as one could have expected. Jake's attention to detail, particularly with the final adjustment to set the door to be placed perfectly in line with the other cabinet doors was excellent. We would highly recommend HCoG and particularly Jake to perform the installation work. The attached photo shows the replaced door on the left compared to the original cabinet doors. Added 2/11/2026 - I forgot that I had photos of the original damage to the door. I think the comparisons will speak for themselves.

The quality of workmanship is top-notch. The rebuilt cabinet door is barely distinguishable from any of the other original cabinet doors. Throughout the process, I was updated on the progress of the work up through the delivery and installation when Jake arrived exactly when the message said he would. His work and attention to detail were excellent. We could not have asked for a better experience.

We needed a professional to perform drywall repair after electricians installed new lighting in our recreation room. We found this service with Handyman Connection of Golden. They sent Gary and Morgan who were very professional and did an excellent job repairing substantial ceiling and wall drywall issues. Gary and Morgan made sure all our furniture was protected and treated our property with respect. The engagement and quotation process was pleasant and represented good value for money considering the quality of the work.

We have been very happy with the quality of work performed by Gary and Morgan. They did a great job prepping the area, making sure all our furniture and requests were taken care of and they executed the project very well with a first class professional service. From a pre-engagement experience perspective I would say that working with the website was frustrating and needs some work (accessing the ticket, uploading photos etc). I would also have to say that the quotation and final invoice methodology is a little opaque, even when we reduced the amount of work that was actually performed the invoice did not reflect this reduction. However, that being said we are very pleased with the quality of the work which is most important.
